Full day tour to Ancient Corinth
& wine tasting in Ancient Nemea
We’ve hand-picked a few of our favorite areas in Corinth and Nemea region, where you can do a full day of sightseeing. You will see the famous ancient city of Corinth, the ruined medieval castle of Acrocorinht, the ancient Nemea town and end up at a local winery for wine tasting. This tour is ideal for couples or friends who want to get off the beaten path and sample some of the region’s food and drink while exploring two historic towns!
Our first stop
About an hour along the way, acting as the natural gateway between Attica and the Peloponesse, lies the impressive Corinht canal. The Corinth Canal is a man-made canal that connects the Gulf of Corinth in the Ionian Sea to the Saronic Gulf in the Aegean Sea in Greece. It measures about 6.4 kilometers long, 23 meters broad, and 8 meters deep. The canal was first suggested in the 7th century BC by Periander, the tyrant of Corinth, but it was not completed until the late 19th century, after numerous unsuccessful efforts throughout history.

Follow the footsteps of Apostole Paul
As one of the most significant figures in the city’s history, Paul is credited with spreading Christianity in Corinth during his visits in the mid-1st century AD. Start your journey by visiting the archaeological sites of the Ancient Agora, the Temple of Apollo, and the Bema, where Paul is said to have preached. Then, explore the imposing Acrocorinth, a fortress that towers over the city, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape.

Ancient Nemea
The Nemean Games, conducted in honor of Zeus, were once held at the ancient site of Nemea. The stadium, gymnasium, and temple are still visible today, attracting visitors from all over the globe. Furthermore, Nemea is known for its vineyards and wine-making heritage, producing some of Greece’s best red wines from the Agiorgitiko grape, a local variety known for its rich flavor and distinctive aroma. Visiting a local winery will give us the chance to explore the vineyards, sample the local wines, and learn about the wine-making process while taking in the region’s breathtaking natural beauty.
